Here's a link to Soulemama's moment, and how long is it since I cheated? Hopefully a while, since I'm at it again - with words and photos! (How does Soulemama manage not to? Especially with 5 children!) The girls had their ballet performance at the weekend, it was outdoors in the lovely grounds of a gorgeous stately home, the weather was perfect, the light was beautiful, and it was all just magical. Everyone brought a picnic, there was space to run around (and for boys with no interest in ballet to discreetly disappear and climb trees or kick a ball around!), the lawns were filled with dancing, barefoot children with their costumes blowing in the breeze and there was music everywhere. When it came to the actual ballet proper, all the children did brilliantly and all the parents cooed and aahhed and clapped madly. Venetia and Maria both absolutely loved being up on the stage performing, and came off buzzing. It really was an afternoon to remember and I don't feel like my photos captured half the magic but here are a few...

Some of the ballerinas climbed trees too! |

Oh wow! Those are just gorgeous photos I don't blame you for not being able to choose just one - and what a setting for a ballet performance - lucky girls!!

ReplyDeleteOur moment this week comes from the 4th of July parade that the children's room at the library holds each year!
