WIP Wednesday again

Linking up with WIP Wednesday over at Freshly Pieced, and I can't believe it's Wednesday again, where did the week go? I'm still plodding along with last week's WIP. I've got my first star sewn together...

And I've got a second, smaller star all ready to piece together...

Not quite as much progress as I'd hoped for, but the sun has been shining lots and the great outdoors has been calling!

And I've just made a start on another quilt that is probably as much an opposite as you could possibly get. One of my good friends wants a couple of quilts for her 2 boys, and she's been nagging me for so long waiting patiently for so long that I thought I'd really better get started!!! The first one is going to be a breakdance themed quilt. I've got quite a few photos of her little boy in some 'poses' and I'm planning on turning them into simple, outline silhouettes to include in the quilt. I've just got this one done so far:

I like the fact that breakdance and quilting are not a pairing you'd usually expect! Hopefully I can make it work. And it's good to have 2 such contrasting WIPs on the go.

Back again tomorrow,

Sally.
